Hi
I live in non-rent stabilized apartment. A couple of months ago, the pipes under my sink start to leak. They came out, issue was fixed. A couple of weeks ago water started pouring into my bathroom from the ceiling. Luckily I was home, maintenance came by and sopped up the water and told me the issue would be fixed. Maintenance brought over a dehumidifier and repainted all of the spots in the bathroom where water collected in the paint.
Today, water is raining into my bathroom from upstairs again. Maintenance is helping with the issue but I’m at my wits end. I pay market price for my apartment and I’m afraid I can’t leave for extended periods out of fear my place will be covered with water. Maintenance has helped with the issues but I feel like I’m being greatly inconvenienced with my bathroom being out of commission, having to worry about leaks when I’m not home, and having to deep clean my bathroom whenever there is mystery water pouring in. Besides demanding that the pipes be inspected and assured this won’t happen again, is there anything I can ask my building management company? I feel as though they should cover the deep cleaning of the bathroom. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks
