Moved to NYC recently from NJ. I own a car with Jersey Plates. What are my legal obligations with respect to my car, license, etc?

Post Body

I've changed my license and my insurance to NY State. I know I need to change my registration; this is a really dumb question, but does changing my registration include the process for changing my license plates as well, or is that a separate process? Also, my car is new (2023) and has an inspection sticker valid for three years (a New Jersey law). I assume I'll have to get a new inspection sticker too?

I'd love to get rid of my car entirely, but I still require it for a (50ish mile) commute to work.
