What are some additional steps I should take before filing a missing persons report?
Post Body

I’m very worried for my friend. He was supposed to come to my house on Sunday and I have not heard from him. I reached out and no avail. I called Staten Island, Bronx and Manhattan bookings center and his name wasn’t on file.

There’s a possibility something happened to his phone (lost, stolen) but I can’t call him because the phone is off. He’s not the type to block me, we saw each other Friday.

I do know a few things but I also don’t want to come off as a stalker or something. I’m just worried and hope he’s okay. I can’t do a wellness check because I don’t know his address.

So far I was thinking:

  1. He started a new job at a NYC chain restaurant. I’ll email the company to see if he went to work yesterday and what’s his shift. I’ll leave my number so he can call me at the restaurant when he’s on break.

  2. Wait for him at his train station but I’m not sure if his shifts. So he may get home late.

Is there anything else I should do to find him? Any resources?
