So okay new yorkers...help a gal out! My son and I are coming to nyc in November for the david gilmour show at MSG...and I've never even been to nyc...
So im looking at Google maps, subway websites, I'm so confused.
I lived in dc for about 3mos, and it STRESSED me out...esp not knowing my way around. I'm even more scared about doing this on my own...
So my main questions, I know (from research) that penn station is the best subway stop for MSG...but where on earth do I get ON the subway? We're likely going to need a hotel to sleep before driving back home, so I was wanting a subway entrance that's easy to get to, (from Pennsylvania side)...what would be the easiest place for us to find a hotel, leave the car, and get to a subway station to get to msg? And then ride the subway back to the hotel area and not be forever away from it? I realllllly don't wanna try to drive anywhere too crazy, so like an airport or some other place with parking/hotels nearby and their own subway station type area might be good, if there's one on the south side, can someone pretty please help me?
Thank yall so much...I'm SOOOOO excited to see floyd in person, but am also SOOOOO stressed because of not knowing a thing about navigating nyc...
Edit to add: thank you all SO FREAKING MUCH!!!! There's so much help here, you guys are AWESOME!!!! So the general consensus here seems to be either taking the amtrak the whole way there from here in NOVA, and getting a hotel in msg area, or going to secaucus NJ and taking the NJ transit directly to penn station...and either getting a hotel in secaucus or in msg area...so im gonna compare hotels today and see what my best options is with that. You guys are AWESOME, thank you all for being understanding too ❤️ I had a stroke a few yrs ago and my concentration and comprehension kinda sucks, so I kinda need to do extra planning/understanding in doing things like this so I don't get so mixed up I wind up lost, or unsafe, or panicking in a bad area or something. So I appreciate all you guys help and kindness, thank you all so much!!!!
