Nice campsites near NYC?

Hey all, I was camping recently on west coast and it gave me a taste for it and the great outdoors, plus I now have all the gear. So I would love to find a nice place to camp near NYC before it gets too cold.
Open to all suggestions but ideally looking from something that is:
- Less than 4 hours by car
- Remote location/No cell signal
- LGBTQIA friendly
- Near a river/lake etc.
- Good hikes nearby
- Shower and toilets available
