NYC housing connect question income / tax related
Post Body

So currently I’m working a part time job that only pays 18 an hour and I’ve been applying to different applications since April I’ve seen a lot of apartments or studios that I would love to live in if given the chance at the moment I live with my parents and I want to change that ASAP. So far not one application has reached out to me which sucks. I have my household income set as 37,440 I know it’s really low but technically I believe that’s what I should put since my job only pays 18/hr. I was thinking of of lying about my income and saying I make 52,000 since I’m looking for full time jobs to do with my current part time and I have a lot of interviews already set for this week and next week. So I was wondering is it ok for me to lie about my income or should I just be honest and input my recent w2 tax since I just saw that I didint get to do that the last time I put my income I just put my income and not my tax information. I appreciate any help
