Hey y’all! I’m planning a (short) trip to NY in two weeks and came up with this itinerary. I’m staying in a hotel in midtown (right by Penn Station) and wanted to hit a couple of different places. I’d appreciate a local set of eyes on this to see if it’s feasible and if you have any other recommendations for things I need to do or see before I leave! Also I love European style cafes so if you have any recs, I’m all ears! I was looking at Patisserie Tomoko but it’s closed on Mondays (the only day I’d be in Brooklyn! Oh well).
Day 1 (Sunday) - - Arrive at 10am, check into hotel - Breakfast coffee near the hotel (left this pretty open because I want to walk around) - Take the C train to the MET Museum - Lunch - Take the C train down to Minetta Tavern for lunch (gotta get the bone marrow 😎) OR Au Cheval (opens at 5.30 so very late lunch lol, I wanted to try 4 Charles but they’re closed until September!! ðŸ˜) - See the Washington Square Arch (maybe) - Explore SoHo - Take the R or W train to Times Square - Broadway Show @ New Amsterdam Theatre - Dinner @ Joe’s Pizza/Pizza Suprema - Walk back to hotel
Day 2 (Monday) - - Take the subway to brooklyn: N L lines - Okonomi for breakfast - Get coffee nearby - Explore DUMBO/walk the Brooklyn bridge (maybe?? pretty far away) - Take the G train bus to Astoria - Lunch @ Abuqir Seafood - Astoria Ferry to Pier 11 - Take the R train to dinner - Dinner @ Torrisi - Take the 6 train back to Summer One Vanderbilt - Walk back to hotel
Day 3 (Tuesday) - - Breakfast coffee near hotel - Explore Rockefeller Plaza - Lunch @ Jongro (opens 11:30) - K-town shopping - Early dinner @ Tonchin (or a pre-airport snack lol) - Head to airport (EWR)
