Is staying in the south Bronx feasible for trip
Post Body

Coming into town in a couple months and was hoping to get some opinions from locals on this. I'll be in town for 3 nights, 2 full days. Flying into Laguardia. I'm sure I'll be spending plenty of time in Manhattan for the obvious touristy stuff plus I'll be in Manhattan one evening for sure for an event. I've found a few hotels I like in the Bronx that are considerably cheaper. So would it be worth it to book in the Bronx knowing I don't plan on spending much time there? For reference, I'll pretty much only be in tbe hotel to take a quick nap and shower before heading out for the evening and for sleeping at night. Also might be worth it to note that I'm sure at least 2 of the nights I'll be out pretty late.

Thanks for this! Definitely would have done this kind of research before booking, but I appreciate the heads up.

I checked Google maps earlier this morning around the time I'd probably be leaving my hotel and it said 20 minutes to Times Square, but that seemed faster than what I was expecting. I don't plan on using the subway late at night

Around East 138th. Google maps refers to the area as Mott Haven

Yeah one of the places I was looking at is a short walk from the 4 train it looks like.

I'll check out the other too . Appreciate it.

Would plan on using public transportation during the day. Cab/ride share at night
