Today, I timed my trip around a specific train schedule. I’d leave at a certain time to make it to the train early and get to where I’m going on time.
However, after arriving to to the train and waiting for the scheduled train that’s on the various screens throughout the station, Google maps, and MyMTA app, it simply doesn’t show up. And I’m forced to wait an additional 20 minutes for the next one. It’s not the first time this has happened, either. While it sucks, I’m not complaining. This is a serious question I’m curious to know more about and any advice on how to predict this in the future would be great.
Update: it happened again tonight and the wait was much longer, near 40 minutes between trains. I find many of the responses odd, are New Yorkers really so desensitized by this? It’s not normal in any other part of the world. We can vote, too. Are these issues are ever brought up during the election cycle?
