In recent media, I've seen some Arabs state that the Hebrew language sounds like an extremely harsh version of arabic with limited vocabulary, and they even have to steal insults. Certainly when I listen to modern Hebrew, it sounds absolutely nothing like a Semitic language to my ears. It has french R sounds and a lot of harsh KH sounds. However, I found a video of old biblical Hebrew and it actually sounds like a sister of arabic. Can you all understand it? What about regular Hebrew? For reference this is normal Hebrew. It sounds like they really love the harsh KH sound lol https://youtu.be/dXRqhHPKiZY
I'm also kind of curious why they didn't attempt to revive the old Hebrew pronunciations? Now it just feels so Europeanized
