Should men really be embarrassed about medical exams “down there?” Nope!

For women, OB/GYN visits are routine and talked about normally. It should be the same way for men. Whether it’s a routine physical, urology exam, genital dermatology exam, circumcision pre/post-op, or vasectomy pre/post-op, it’s still normal and pretty much vital. Your testes are very important in the production of not only sperm, but also testosterone. You absolutely need testosterone, even women have a small bit of it in them. Also, you only get one penis so it’s important that you take care of it. These genital medical exams need to be talked openly about more because there are many, many men who are too embarrassed to have the family jewels checked out professionally until it’s too late. In not talking about it, we’re creating a generation of upcoming men who will be mortified by the idea of letting someone know if there’s a problem down there. Also, you should be doing self exams in the shower or in bed pretty often to scope out any abnormal lumps, bumps or sores.
