Mid career professionals with MBAs, was it worth it getting an MBA? How did getting one help you?
Post Body

As the title says, I'm in my mid 30s, with a masters and bachelor's in biomedical engineering, and also midway through my career. I'm a senior engineer at a medical device company, and have been working in the industry for 10 years, give or take. I really wanted to move into a management role, and was trying to give myself the best shot at it, or being put into the running for it.

I've heard stories from people about how it has been very beneficial to them, and how uncertain situations it's a must have. To those of you who actually have an MBA, Has it helped your career advancement at all? Did it open a new opportunities for you? Or was it not worth the time and effort? If you could help me out with this question, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!
