Have you guys had any experience with this cuz Iām like losing my frickin mind...
I left a decent AGM (asst. gen. man.) position a few years ago to go to law school. Well I graduated last December and Iām back in the job market. Iām not looking for legal positions because I havenāt taken the state bar exam and I donāt plan on it because Iām planning on moving from down south back up north as soon as I feasibly can.
Well... Iāve been actively on the job hunt.. job fairs, cold calls, ads on line, zip recruiter etc... and I feel like the door is just getting slammed in my face each time..
Hereās an example, today I saw a listing on CL for an assistant project manager it was described as an entry level position. The directions said to email your resume and call āTomā for immediate consideration.. so I did...
We chatted on the phone, he pulled up my resume, said āI like what I seeā asked how much I was looking for and I said around 45K which I donāt think is big money.. he said that sounds good.. let me pass it by them and Iāll reach back out to you... 2 hours later the posting is updated from assistant project manager to junior project manager...
Then a few days ago I gettin touch with this guy opening up an office facility in the area, chat for awhile... the listing was for a customer service rep, after we spoke he was like send me your resume Iām looking for supervisors and trainers and Iāll send you the application for those positions as soon as I get out the car...
I call him back a few days later... āI forwarded your resume to the person hiring for those positions and theyāll be in touch if their interestedā
Like WTF is going on...
