Is it weird for a man to talk his parents about his personal problems?
Post Body

Im 21M in college. My parents often calls me to check up on me and say that if I have any problem, I can talk to them about it. Though, I mostly keep things to myself. I see myself as a grown man who has the responsibility to deal with his own issue and not burden other people unless necessary, and im pretty sure other men feel the same way as well. Id say many would think it's childish and lacking to be relying on your parents when you're college age. What do you guys think?

Not at all. I’m 37 and regularly share (some) of my personal problems with my dad and he let it be known he’s happy to listen and I’m happy to share. So long as you’re not expecting them to fix all of your problems I see nothing wrong with sharing them. Especially since because they’re older they might have a wise perspective that’ll help you cope better with the problem or maybe even fix it. And parents are happy I think that you still want them involved in your life.
