Health: At the peak of my physique. I tore my ACL playing soccer in late 2021. Then got the ACL surgery in April 2022. By January of 2023 I was back to soccer at 110%. Right now, I eat well and avoid fast foods. My only weakness is sweets like pastries, cakes, etc. I feel good overall. More white hairs for sure but healthy hair still and no receding hairline. I work out 3 times per week and play soccer 2-3 times per week. Bike riding and skiing as well.
Finances: I think they are okay. I don't have much savings but I bought a house that is my first rental earlier this year. I don't have debt aside from $5,000 in student loans. My 401k is pretty weak because I relied on a larger net pay check in order to save for the down payment on that house. I adjusted the % I was contributing after I was able to close on the house. I plan on repeating this process through my 30s in order to buy 3-4 more rental properties.
Love Life: Happily living with my girlfriend who was my best friend for 6 years prior to dating. Prior to that I enjoyed quite a bit with dating. My current life situation in this regard is perfect. I will propose to my girlfriend later this year.
Friends/Fam Relationships: My relationships are mostly in impeccable standing. I am closer with my childhood friends than ever before. I am more open with my extended family now compared to how I was when I was a kid, and I am generally good at maintaining and improving healthy relationships in my life. My relationship with one of my sisters could be better but that's something I work on continuously. I lost one friendship with I was younger that really affected me. It was a mistake I made and the only good thing out of it was the life lesson which now helps me in keeping better friendships as well.
Emotional/Spiritual: I am not a religious person at all so spiritually I'd say pretty poor. My emotional intelligence is high since I have been through a tumulus childhood paired with lots of awareness from my part in order to dissect what was happening to me at each stage of my life. I like where things are with my emotions currently.
Parenting: None so far but we want to take that step in the next 2 years.
Intellect: I like to read a few different topics. I am currently learning a third language and plan on going for my 4th language next year. I studied pure math in college and no book has ever given me that satisfaction I used to get with math proofs or computational problems. Reading books of my choice and language learning is doing it okay these days but I would like to take a college class just for pleasure soon. I am not sure how to go about that.
Any tips for a newbie in his 30s with the current life stage described above? Thank you for anything you can provide. I would like to read your perspectives, personal stories, questions, remarks, etc. Thank you!
