I don't mean this negatively but it's probably not as you're thinking. It's not like he has a long unkempt thick beard or something. He has a very wispy and honestly pube-like beard that he does absolutely nothing to maintain. It grows on his cheeks and up near his eyes and eyebrows.
The thing that kills me is that it did look nice when he let me do it. I just trimmed it to a uniform length and shaved his cheeks and it looked just fine. He genuinely seemed heartbtoken. I really think he wishes he had a really thick lumberjack beard but it's just not going to happen for him. So why choose to have a terrible looking beard? It looks like Jafar's beard but more unruly.
His brother is getting married in September and recently his mother and brother have asked him to do something about his facial hair before the wedding since he's in it. He absolutely refused. I have asked him why he does this several times and he gives the bullshit non-answer that it's his beard and his choice. He has asked me what I think of it before and I told him I prefer it trimmed.
So what's the man translation of this behavior and is there anything I can do about it? I'm honestly tired of feeling like I have pubes in and on my mouth when I kiss him.
The few times he has trimmed it you should have acted overcome with sexual attraction 🤣 if I got laid every time I trimmed my beard, I'd be touching it up every hour.
