I, as a girl am curious. Do you feel comfortable talking about your emotions with friends or family, or do you feel like you have to hold it all in sometimes? I’ve always wondered if guys feel like they’re allowed to open up the same way girls do, or if it’s harder because people might expect you to just deal with things on your own. Like, do you ever want to talk about something that’s bothering you but stop yourself because you’re worried about how it’ll come across? Or maybe you just feel like no one would really get it, or they might think you’re weak or overreacting?
I’m also curious, if there is someone in your life that you do trust enough, to share with them all of your problems. What did they do to ultimately gain your trust, what’s the criteria for that?
Ps I started pondering this earlier today when my sister comforted me, after I had hurt myself cutting something.
