(46F) I left my husband during my cancer treatment because I decided I deserved a man who actually wants to take care of me. By that I mean all I asked was open the car door for me after my major surgery when I was under strick dr instructions of no pushing, pulling or lifting and fighting for my life with stage 3 breast cancer. Too much to ask I guess! Fast forward to now... single, employed, happy, healthy again and workout 3x a week. I'm almost ready to start dating again. But... How many men and I going to scare away with a history of cancer that left me with fake boobs and tattoos for nipples? This is new territory and I don't know what to expect, how to approach this or even how (or when) to talk about it.
