I’m asking to get another man’s perspective on this. In my husbands culture the women (for the most part) grow their hair really long, they grow it as far as past their hips and he’s always told me he likes me to have long hair. I on the other hand don’t like long hair on me. My preferred length is about to my shoulders, I love a short hair cut on me. As a mom of 2 little ones it’s much easier to maintain, I look very young for my age and I feel it gives me a more mature look. I also feel that length of hair suits me best for my wide face shape. Every time I’ve cut my hair he kindly says he likes me better with long hair and asks why I cut, he’s not rude about it at all. It’s getting about the time again where I want to cut my hair. I’ve been trying to grow it long, but I just don’t like it. I don’t feel confident with this hair. It doesn’t feel cute and stylish to me, it just feels boring. Every time I’ve cut my hair short I love it! But my husband not liking it makes me attempt to grow it out, and every time I end up cutting it because I don’t like it. But I feel like if I cut it I won’t be as physically attractive to him. A lot of people say it’s what’s on the inside that counts and for the most part I agree, but I also believe that physical attraction is important for a relationship. He tells me I’m beautiful because of the way I love him and our children but I know he likes long hair. Right now I’m ready to cut my hair, but the thought of my husband not liking it is stopping me. Im tired of looking like a 16 year old with 2 kids and I feel like my long hair really makes me look childish. What is your opinion on this? How would you feel if your wife changed her hair and you didn’t like it? I don’t really care what my husband does with his hair, he’s experimented with it before and I want him to do what he prefers with his own personal style, but women just think differently than men do.
