They say all great people carry great burdens in life. They never asked for them, but they enjoy the weight as if it were a gift, because it very well may be.
What I mean by that is simply are you choosing your better devils ? Are you actively working on being a better human, regardless of the fact, we’re all paddling up shit’s creek, with a broken paddle.
Wherever I turn I see a vicious cycle of morbidity, superficial, self-gratifying, impulse-control lacking, hedonistic, sodomitic, deviant behaviour.
I was never a pessimist and I never will be.
But it’s hard to not notice what the world has become and to understand others when I personally have rigorous criteria for what a man (and woman) is supposed to uphold and represent.
So tell me, when was the last time you said no to indulgence, the last time you did something of significance ? How did it make you feel ? How long has it been since and how often do you make a habit of making the hard, right choice ?
