For men who grew up fatherless, what can I do as a single mom to a boy to support him?
Post Body

For context, I became pregnant at 20 with my fwb at the time (we were friends for several years, and started to hookup near the end).

I was close to aborting, which was what the guy wanted also, but I quickly realized that I couldn’t/didn’t truly want to go down that path.

I told the guy, and he decided to withdraw completely. (My son is 15 months old now, and I haven’t been in communication with this man since I was 2 months pregnant).

There has been 0 communication between me/my family, or the guy/his family.

Assuming things don’t change, what can I expect from my son as far as questions or desires? I still have time before I have to worry about that, but I just want to make sure I don’t say the wrong thing, as I am here to support and love him.
