Hey guys! My bf grew up without a dad and because of that, he had a rough childhood. Although he's become a better person now, some of his behaviours I guess are stemming from growing up without a dad. When he's mad or upset, he avoids conflict, goes silent and disconnect himself from me. He also have trust issues due to his past relationship. Please help me understand, are these really common traits from a son who grew up without a dad? My bf is a good man and I love him, I'm doing my best to be patient because I know he wants to be understood as well, he just doesn't know how to express it. How do I approach him? How do we solve his trust issues? I'm sorry for asking this and thanks in advance!
