Let’s celebrate our favorite emotionally powerful lyrics by posting the best parts of them right here, along with a description of why you find them so moving.
I submit These Dreams by Heart.
“White skin in linen, Perfume on my wrist. And the full moon that hangs over… These dreams in the mist”
And another stanza from These Dreams:
“I want to see you clearly, Come closer than this. But all I remember… Are the dreams in the mist”
The lyrics and the music create an almost Victorian, romantic image of a classical princess in a dream, but she’s actually just an average person longing for the old romantic heaven of Knights and dragons and kings. Escapism, romance, history, even spirituality.
What do you submit, and why???
