I've always figured most big time film directors and musicians are sort of devoted to their art. Like, I would figure it's something that they discovered at a young age and that there was kind of no wavering in it, and I would figure their gears are always turning on what their next project is or what their potential next dozen projects are.
Outside of famous people, I know one guy who is devoted to scuba diving. Instructing, cave diving, he runs two dive shops in a landlocked area. He is one of those people where if you talk to him about diving, it's kind of all he talks about but he is so deeply passionate about it you have to listen.
Another guy I know is passionate about lacrosse. he has a day job, but basically every moment outside of it he is coaching, he plays, he runs adapted lacrosse program for kids/adults with spinal injuries. He is sort of the same way as scuba dude. He's kind of just a dude... but if you mention lacrosse he can literally talk your ear off for hours and hours about, and even if you don't care at all about the sport, for that moment he is the most interesting man in the world.
So yeah, I find people like this inspiring, especially since I feel like it takes sacrifice. Do you know anyone deeply devoted to some passion?
