Why is there such a difference in the way we view the elderly in America vs other cultures?
Post Body

In the US, the elderly are often seen as invisible, irrelevant, outdated, forgotten, frail. There's ageism in the workplace, espec in my industry (tech) that starts in your late 40s!

I've noticed in Asian cultures, the elderly are more revered, respected for their wisdom and for all of their life experience.
