For all of my life I've dealt with an issue called phimosis- basically, my foreskin doesn't pull back as far as it should, especially when I'm aroused. It's been minor enough that I've gotten along fine so far, but in recent years I've begun to wonder if it might be better to get something done medically to fix it. After speaking to my doctor, he's referred me to a urologist so I'll see what my options are, but it's possible the only solution will be to get circumcised.
So in that event, I wanted to see if I could hear from anybody else who's gotten the procedure done late in life, and how you feel about it? How long did it take to heal? Was sex better or worse afterwards? (I know one of the anti-circumcision arguments is that it reduces sexual pleasure, but in my case I'm fairly certain my foreskin is already reducing my sexual pleasure by being in the way.) Simply put, I've grown rather attached to my penis over the years and any sort of change to its function is making me a bit apprehensive.
If anyone can give me their thoughts and experiences I would appreciate it!
