What about the concept of a "Relationship Registry"?

Like a wedding registry but not just for the one day, for all the other days.
I threw out the idea to my GF that we should both keep an Amazon wishlist. We'd just add whatever to them over time and then we'd always have gift ideas and be able to give gifts to one another we know the other wants.
I think it's a great idea, her not so much... Think it's something you could get behind or no?
