I'm a girl in a US city. When I'm out, on the street, or doing groceries, or just at a cafe by myself, I see so many other women doing their thing alone similarly. But I get this weird treatment where the people working at the store, the security or a rando who looks like he is disoriented from drugs would smile/ make creepy eye contact with me, and eventually try to hang around and talk to me and sometimes follow me until I hide somewhere or take any action. Like I said, I don't see this happen to other girls around who are also alone and it makes me feel like either my look or my vibe is unintentionally vulnerable or inviting. I don't know at all. I wear a long braid usually, and earrings, light lipstick. I'm Asian Middle Eastern if it matters.
