Finding right fitting for my radiator
Post Body

I am repairing a wrecked c6 corvette z51. The z51 has the 3 fluid cooler for the trans fluid, engine oil and coolant.

The bottom trans line and fitting got trashed, so I replaced the line. OT, but big procedure btw. Had to remove the motor mount and a bunch of other shit to get it in. I am used to working on trucks that have a lot more room

Anyway, I got the closest thing I can find for the fitting. It threads into the radiator and takes the 3/8 trans line. However, the original fitting that broke had a nipple with an o ring that went further in. The fitting I got doesn't seem to go all the way in to the bottom and doesn't have the nipple, but it fits the threads perfectly and goes in for 1/2"

I am going to try it as is and see if it leaks. Do I have any other options for the fitting if it doesn't work? I bought rubber o rings and a crush washer I can try if it doesn't.

Worst case scenario, I will buy a new radiator, but even then people have issues getting the right fittings. I'm struggling finding fittings for the aftermarket radiator.
