So I'm trying to get some advice from anyone who knows cars. My 2013 Dodge Caravan has approx. 221,266K miles on it. For some reason the van can't accelerate at higher speeds.
One day, I was driving the car, and suddenly it wouldn't accelerate. There would be a delay in which the car shakes and start to accelerate afterward.
My mechanic is telling me that the transmission probably is failing and it needs to be rebuilt. I just want to know if there could be any other reasons for the issues I'm experiencing.
One suggestion that has been given is that it could be that the transmission oil is empty but I've been told that shouldn't be an issue since there is no leaks.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated
