(Serious) Parking + Parking Brake + Car Still Rolling... Normal?
Post Body

Hey guys

I have a hyundia sonata 2013 GLS if it matters. I like things to last. I use my parking brake everytime I park (the parking brake is a foot pedal on this car).

I pull into a parking spot, put the car in park, push the e/parking brake in -- and my car still rolls a bit before it stops and is "fully parked".

Oh, and sometimes, I pull the car into a parking spot, push the ebrake / parking brake first and THEN put it in park.

I try to limit that roll as much as possible... >> what's the proper procedure here? << Any harm in just letting the car lurch forward -- or always slowly let the car roll in whichever direction and lock in?

I'm that guy who asks questions about anything.
