What car shall I buy?

I want a new car, I currently have a 2009 toyota yaris (first & only car i’ve ever had) and I would like something a bit newer, more comfortable, and feels a bit more solid & safe on motorways. Budget around 8k, any ideas? Also don’t want crazy high insurance & running costs, so no 3L diesels please 😂
