Good day. I hope there is a mechanic or technician that can throw me some ideas. Car is a 2007 pontiac torrent suv, 3.4 litre fwd, with 85000 miles. This spring i replaced both front wheel bearings, they were bad, the front pads and rotors as they were bad too. Car drove great for 2 weeks. Silent. Then that bearing noise came back, caused on the right side. So i replaced the axle shaft and intermediate shaft with the bearing on it, which I thought was bad. Noise is still there. Very loud at 25mph. If I lift the right tire, Car in drive, the noise is there. If I lift the left tire, no noise. Car shifts fine. Car drives fine. Just got that bad bearing noise that you can feel in the floorboards and pedals. It has to do with the car rolling. Going down a hill in neutral it still makes that noise according to road speed, not rpm. Are there bearings at the final output shaft of the transaxle? Could this new bearing on the right side have gone bad again? I'm really at a loss. Thanks.
