Accidentally drained transmission fluid instead of oil, double filled oil
Post Body

Like an absolute idiot trying to save some money changing the oil myself on my 2009 Subaru outback, I drained the tranny fluid by accident and added more oil to the motor. I started the car and tried to back it down the driveway and it struggled to reverse, so I pulled back forward again and turned it off and realized the mistake. Am I fucked? I drove it maybe 15 feet total and I don't even know what to do besides get it towed.

Edit: when I drained the "oil", it was black and didn't have the red/brown color that transmission fluid does
