Hi.
Going to use a portable jump start kit this weekend to start my car (was supposed to be gone for a short trip, but ended up gone for a few months and returning this week, expecting the battery to be dead). I expect to use it the same as a 'normal' jump start, just the power bank in place of the working car battery.
However I checked a couple of youtube vids and they say to connect the negative clamps to the negative terminal on the dead battery rather than a ground point. Is this correct?
Also do I clamp and then leave it for a few minutes (sort of like I'm charging a cell phone from a power bank) or do I just go ahead and try to jump start asap?
