Removed the bolt that attaches the lower forward control arm to the subframe and the bolt to the strut, but the balljoint is extremely stuck in the knuckle. I’ve tried a hammer on the stud, ball joint separator tool, and a pickle fork and it hasnt budged whatsoever. It doesn’t help that the forward and rearward control arm ball joints are right next to either too, so its a tight spot for the pickle fork.
I’m going to be attempting to use the pickle fork in combination with wd-40, mapp torch, and 5lb sledge, although I’m not 100% sure even that’s going to work. I’m doing it at home so no air tools. Any recommendations on what else to try, or should I go with my idea?
