I was in a fender bender. Right after, the turning signal lights were malfunctioning, but then started working fine in a few hours, why could this have been?
Post Body

2004 Honda Civic LX, 2 door

I'm asking because they were only malfunctioning that day for part of the day. Basically when I used the turn signal lights they would stay on without blinking. I had to move the lever back and forth manually for safety. It's an old car and I'm afraid they will total it if that becomes something complicated to solve and I would rather not get $2000-$3000 for the car and not be able to find a reliable car for that money. So I'm curious if that issue was just a minor thing that was more of a one time glitch because of the accident.
