I’m sitting here in the safety and comfort of my own house watching Ukrainian citizens fight and die for their country. For democracy. For what they believe in.
Zelensky is literally declining an evacuation offer from our government because he’s willing to die defending his own.
I feel so helpless. Why do we live in a world that allows these injustices? I understand that geopolitical issues make this complicated, but can’t I do something more as an Angeleno to support the people of Ukraine? Donating money helps, but I feel the need to do something more than sit behind a screen.
