This is a long shot but my wife was involved in minor fender bender hit and run on the 101 freeway before the Santa Monica exit.
Basically a Nissan sedan blue/grey ish with newer dealer (AUTOS365 or AUTO5365) paper plates basically sideswiped my wife’s car while she thinks he was attempting to switch lanes.
While attempting to flag him down to merge onto the shoulder the car decided to pull away and exit the Santa Monica exit.
Wife described the damage to the other car was from the driver side of their headlight all throughout towards the side of the driver door.
The impact was towards the passenger side front fender of my wife’s car. The best way she could describe the incident was that she was traveling straight in her lane (2nd lane next to fast lane) and the other driver was attempting to merge onto her lane quickly to avoid oncoming traffic. She was most likely in his blind spot. After the impact and momentum which caused the length of the scrape they seemed in agreement to pull over to the side. She was having to merge over about 2 more lanes to get to the shoulder. When suddenly my wife described that the other car sped off quickly taking the shoulder to exit Santa Monica. In shock and stuck behind other traffic she was left stranded so she pulled off to the side as it cleared. Happened at about 510-520pm 8/25.
2 witnesses were only able to describe and identify the light skinned Hispanic male about 20-30 spiked hair with a Nissan 4 door sedan blue ish grey with dealer paper plate AUTOS365 or AUTO5365
She filed a police report but due to the lack of visual evidence to assist in catching the other vehicle I know we are kind of SOL but you never know.
Sorry for the long message but I guess keep an eye out thanks!
