tips for staying safe in Santa Ana? TO THE LA NATIVES WHO ARE USED TO DANGEROUS AREAS:

i’m gonna have to be frequently going to the santa ana regional transportation center in the late morning and then like 3-4pm. i went for the first time the other day and it was sketchy and scary. just people casually smoking meth at the bottom of the stairs , and then a tweaker sat down next to me and just started blasting classical jazz music. luckily thats literally all he did, didn’t try to talk to me or anything.

im already good on just minding my own business, but i know thats not a fail safe method. I’ve been carrying around pepper spray, will that be enough? i’m terrified but due to transportation issues this is my only option.
