First of all, my thoughts are with you.
I haven't bought tickets yet but I was really looking forward to visiting LA for 30th birthday since I'm born there but grew up on east coast. Was planning to stay 8 days until beginning March. I'm not familiar with how long wildfires last in California. Do you think they'll clear up in 6 weeks or it'd be a bad idea to go? (I personally still want to visit my birthplace for this milestone but I've never experienced living in the aftermath of wildfires so I need someone to tell me if it's idiotic to still go then or not)
