Working at NASA JPL - any suggestions on finding accommodation?

Post Body

Hi all,

Happy New Year!

I'm an Australian university student moving to LA for 6 months to work at NASA JPL this year. I'll be honest, I know very little about LA and this will my first time moving out of home and overseas.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for suburbs to move into given I will be working at JPL (located in La Cañada Flintridge). I will probably be either cycling or taking public transport to work as I do not have a car. And I'm also not on a massive budget since I'm a student.

Are the suburbs such as Pasadena/Altadena good options and safe? Any suggestions for other suburbs to consider, websites/groups to find sharehouses, and other things that might be relevant for me finding accommodation for those 6 months?

Thanks!!
