Is it just me or does LA DESTROY your teeth?

Post Body

Can anybody tell me if they've experienced new issues with their teeth since they've moved to Los Angeles?

I had pretty decent teeth before I moved to LA. had a gap between my two front teeth since I didn't use a retainer but that's it.

Then I move to LA. In the three years I've been here, the following have happened:

  • part of one of my bottom front teeth literally disintegrated and crumbled away with next to no force
  • I accidentally bit down on one of my teeth and chipped my canine
  • It is literally impossible to keep my teeth from yellowing. I use a sonic toothbrush now everyday, which is much more frequent than when I lived on the east coast. Despite my greater commitment to dental hygeine, my teeth are even dirtier
  • Rapid plaque buildup. I develop calculus at a much faster rate. What was 12 months of buildup back in New York only takes 3-6 months in LA
  • TOOTH DECAY: Holy crap. Both of my canines have mild cavities. I think i might have mild cavities on my molars. Never had tooth decay in my life

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there something in the water? what's going on here?
