Adopted a 8 year old terrier/poodle mix from a shelter with stage B2 heart murmur. Echocardiologist said anesthesia is a risk, but better to do now before murmur progresses, if we're going to do it. Hence, I'm extremely nervous about anesthesia. We do not want to do the non-anesthetic as it always seems kind of shady. His teeth are in decent shape, nothing bothering him, but he does have some plaque build up and likely needs a few broken teeth pulled. I just want to be able to find a reliable, safe, and well trusted vet who can perform this without worry. Any recommendations in any part of LA? Any other insight or anecdotes are welcome as well. Thank you!
