LACC: Class enrollment for the general public?

Every time I receive a notification for new classes that just opened, I look on their website and they're completely booked or waitlisted (pretty much zero chance of getting in). I'm not a student but would like to take the fun classes they offer to the community. Does anyone know the trick to this, or at the very least how to find out ahead of time? TIA!
