Is it ok to park in front/on the side of someone's house overnight if I use my car every day?

Post Body

So, to provide some context: I'm borrowing my dad's car for the week to go to a convention with my friends this weekend, along with taking them around LA until next Thursday or so. And I found a street that's part of a neighborhood that's next to my university that I can park my car at. (I've been parking my car since Sunday night and its now Wednesday at the time I'm writing this)

I've checked the signs and what not and I'm clear on when I should move my car for street cleaning. I've also done my research and have heard from multiple sources that I must move my car after 72 hours if my car is continuously parked their for all 72 hours without it being moved. Once the 72 hours are up, I have to move it to a different spot. However, I've read somewhere else that I don't have to follow the 72 hour rule if I use my car during the day, and only leave it parked overnight.

So, I was wondering, do I need to follow the 72 hour rule if I use my car during the day and only leave it parked overnight when I'm not using it, or do I still need to move my car after 72 hours?
