Hello! I will be visiting your lovely city on new years week with my brother for 5 days. I have done my research on where to stay for my trip, and it seems like the overwhelming consensus is for tourists to book a hotel in Santa Monica/West Hollywood for their stay and to stay out of downtown. However, I do believe I have a special circumstance here since the main objective of my trip (in addition to seeing most touristy spots) is to see my team play against the Kings and Ducks on back to back nights.
As such, I would like to preferably stay in a place where we can walk to the crypto.com arena from the hotel and where the drive to and back from the Honda center in Anaheim is more manageable than not. Knowing this, would staying in Downtown still be a good idea? And if so, what are the best options that are close to the Kings arena? My budget is $1000 for 4 nights, and we will be renting a car for our trip.
