Disability Friendly Places for Visitors?

Post Body

I have lived in LA for 32 years but gradually my world has gotten smaller and smaller as I have become more and more disabled. I walk with a cane but I can’t stand for more than a few minutes. I’ve thought of a scooter many times, but with so many places not ADA compliant, I’m not sure what areas would be truly accessible. My longtime friend is visiting in December, and initially she wanted to go to Disneyland, and I was willing to make the drive, but with the way they are treating the disabled, I do not want to give them a dime. So I want to take her somewhere LA related but also disability friendly. I live in the Santa Clarita Valley, and do not drive freeways, so I’d say the max travel I could do is Santa Monica or the Pasadena area (that’s about 90 minutes on surface streets) unless there is something truly iconic. Any ideas where to take her?
