All ages small/indie/underground live music venues?

My brother-in-law is bringing my nephew to LA on this upcoming Saturday (10/19) for a few days to visit some college campuses. My nephew really wants to see a live hip-hop show but he's still a senior in high school, so definitely underage. Does anyone know of any small or underground venues that have rap/hip-hop all ages shows?

My BIL said that he would like to see a dueling piano show, if that is even still a thing, so if anyone knows of such an all ages location for that, that would be great as well. I think that one is going to be tough. Every time I have seen something like that, it has always been in a 21 location.
