I recently graduated with a bachelor's in IT at a well-known CSU. I have CCNA and A and I am doing Hack the Box Academy. I feel like an ethical hacking class would be beneficial as opposed to doing online CEH because I am doing HTB Academy online and I hear an actual ethical hacking class is much better for learning fundamentals of different kinds of hacking than per-say a CEH book or online CEH course. I'm not aiming to get certified I care more about the skills taught. I mean if I ace the class I may take a CEH exam after but the cert isn't my goal because its a worthless cert in terms of HR. And online CEH courses won't get me the same level of skill a class will.
HTB Academy gets me skill even tho its online but that's different. An in-person ethical hacking class however I think might be worth it.
So does Pierce offer an in-person class during the summer? What about LATTC? Can someone recommend an in-person class in ethical hacking that meets during the day? Summer or Spring term class would be preferred. The only in-person class I could find was at East LA College which is too far and is during the winter at night. To me, that just wouldn't be a smart move.
My reasoning is that I really want to learn fundamentals. I am doing Hack the Box Academy currently for the types of hacking I want to specialize in. I don't want this Fall which I don't want because its exclusively online AND its too late anyways to enroll unless I want to cram which I don't want to do.
